Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using disciplined.me, the Disciplined iOS app, the Disciplined Android app, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Disciplined is a trading journal platform that allows users to log trades, track performance metrics, set discipline rules, and follow a structured professional development track. The Service is available on Web, iOS, and Android. Disciplined is an informational and organizational tool — it does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or trading signals.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Disciplined offers a paid subscription plan (Pro) with a 7-day free trial. Key terms:

  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
  • Paid plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
  • After the trial, your subscription renews automatically at the applicable rate (monthly or annual) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from your profile settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued.
  • Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes depending on your location.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Existing subscriptions will not be affected until their next renewal.

6. In-App Purchases (iOS & Android)

If you subscribe via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the purchase is subject to the respective platform's terms and conditions. Billing and refunds for in-app purchases are managed by Apple or Google, not by Disciplined.

For Apple App Store subscriptions: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

For Google Play subscriptions: Payment will be charged to your Google account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Google Play account settings.

7. Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service. If you do not subscribe, your access will be suspended but your data will be retained for 90 days in case you decide to subscribe later.

8. User Content and Data

You retain full ownership of all trade data, notes, and content you input into the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service. We do not access, analyze, sell, or share your trading data with third parties for any purpose other than operating the Service. Your trading data is private by default.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Infringe upon the rights of others.
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or engage in any activity that disrupts the Service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
  • Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written consent.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, branding, and documentation, is the property of Disciplined and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written consent. The Disciplined name, logo, and trademarks may not be used without our permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. DISCIPLINED DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. DISCIPLINED IS NOT A FINANCIAL ADVISOR, BROKER, OR INVESTMENT SERVICE. THE SERVICE IS A JOURNAL AND ANALYTICS TOOL ONLY. ANY TRADING DECISIONS YOU MAKE ARE YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY. PAST PERFORMANCE METRICS DISPLAYED IN THE SERVICE DO NOT GUARANTEE FUTURE RESULTS.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DISCIPLINED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR TRADING LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Disciplined, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

14. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Barcelona, Spain. For EU consumers, this does not affect your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
